We are a community dedicated to musical excellence, teamwork, and student growth. Our program provides a supportive environment where students develop lifelong skills—such as dedication, responsibility, and leadership—through the power of music.
Our Ensembles & Activities
The GHS Band Program offers diverse opportunities for students to perform and grow throughout the year:

Marching Band: Our premier outdoor performance ensemble, bringing spirit and precision to the field during football games, parades, and regional competitions.

Concert Band: Focused on high-level musicality and technical mastery, our concert ensembles perform several times each year, including our annual Winter Concert.

Winter Guard: Extending the artistry of the marching season into the winter months, our guard program competes in specialized indoor circuits, combining dance and pageantry.
Supported by the GHS Band Boosters
Success on the field and on the stage is made possible by the Gainesville High School Band Boosters. As a parent or guardian of a band student, you are already a member! The Boosters are an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of volunteers committed to providing the financial and logistical support necessary for our students to achieve their highest potential.
What We Do:

Volunteering: We provide the "pit crew" for equipment moving, fit and maintain uniforms, act as chaperones, and serve meals on the road.

Fundraising: Through community events like "Tag Day" and "Tiny Tots", we raise funds to supply essential items like instruments, sheet music, and uniforms.

Logistics: From organizing the Manassas Christmas Parade appearance to hosting the All-District Band, we ensure the program runs smoothly.
